What ZoomInfo does well
- The deepest contact and company database in the category, with direct dials and mobile numbers, org charts, technographics and intent signals in one place.
- CRM-native: Salesforce, HubSpot and Marketo integrations, exports to Outreach and Salesloft, plus a Chrome extension and a mobile app.
- A free trial on every tier, so data quality can be tested on your own list before any contract.
- Intent, website-visitor and job-change signals on the Copilot tiers turn the database into a prioritised list rather than a search box.
- Compliance paperwork and a payments page that accepts card, ACH, wire and cheque, which matters when procurement is involved.
Where it falls short
- No published prices. Cost depends on features, licences and credits, and the only way to learn it is a sales conversation.
- Credits are consumed on every export, including through the Chrome extension and integrations, so a busy team can exhaust an allowance mid-month and buy more.
- Integrations and add-ons such as Streaming Intent can carry their own base fees and minimum credit purchases on top of the package.
- Payment frequency is decided with sales rather than listed; expect an annual contract rather than a monthly switch-off.
- The 4.5 out of 5 from 9,384 reviews and the 35,000 customers are the company's own figures.

What ZoomInfo is
ZoomInfo is a B2B contact and company database, the largest and best-known in the category, sold as a platform that stretches from prospect search to intent data, conversation intelligence and AI-driven outreach. The company says more than 35,000 companies use it and quotes a 4.5 out of 5 rating from 9,384 G2 reviews on its pricing page. Both are its own figures. For a cold email team the relevant pieces are the contact data, the credits that meter it, the Chrome extension and the CRM and sequencer integrations; the rest of the platform is built for sales organisations with a revenue operations function.
ZoomInfo pricing
ZoomInfo does not publish prices, and the pricing page is candid about why. Cost is based on three things: the features in your package, the number of licences, and credit usage. Three tiers are listed. ZoomInfo Professional covers contact and company profiles, search and export, mobile numbers and business email, the Chrome extension and the mobile app, and CRM integrations. Copilot Advanced adds location and hierarchy data, account prioritisation, buyer intent, website visitors, champion tracking and exports to Outreach and Salesloft. Copilot Enterprise adds real-time intent, custom integrations, advanced reporting, a dedicated customer service manager and AI-generated account summaries. Every tier has a free-trial button and no price.
Credits are the meter. One credit is consumed each time a contact or company profile is exported, from the web app, from the ReachOut Chrome extension, or through an integration that pushes records into a CRM or sequencer. Packages include a monthly allowance, and more detailed records cost more credits than basic ones. Two further costs sit outside the package: add-ons such as Streaming Intent are priced on expected usage, and the company’s own FAQ says its plug-and-play integrations typically have a base cost and require a minimum purchase of bulk credits. Payment frequency is agreed with sales, and the payments page accepts card, ACH, wire, EFT and cheque. Read all of that as enterprise software: a negotiated annual contract, not a monthly plan you switch off.
Setup and integrations
A trial starts from the pricing page. On a paid plan the integrations are the point: Salesforce, HubSpot and Marketo are native, records export to Outreach and Salesloft on the Copilot tiers, and the Chrome extension reveals contacts on LinkedIn and company sites. There is an API and a mobile app. For a cold email team the useful workflow is simple: build and export the list, verify it, send from a sequencer. Our verification tool reviews cover the second step, and MillionVerifier is the cheapest we have tested per address.
Data and what to do with it
ZoomInfo’s depth is real: direct dials and mobiles, org charts, technographics and intent signals in one record. Depth does not change the rule for outbound, though. Exported emails include catch-all domains and people who have moved, so every list goes through a verifier before it reaches an inbox, and every export spends a credit whether or not the address turns out usable. That is the hidden cost to model: the price per usable contact, not the price per credit.
Who ZoomInfo is for, and who should look elsewhere
ZoomInfo suits mid-size and enterprise sales teams that need the deepest database, want intent and visitor signals feeding their CRM, and budget for data as an annual line item. It is a poor fit for a small team or an agency that wants a published per-seat price, or that only needs a few hundred lookups a month and would rather pay as it goes.
ZoomInfo alternatives
Apollo.io publishes its prices, has a free plan with 900 credits a year and includes a sequencer that connects unlimited mailboxes on its Professional plan. RocketReach is a pure finder with per-seat prices from $27 a month billed annually. Seamless.AI is, like ZoomInfo, quote-only, but its free plan with 50 credits makes a trial easy. The honest comparison is cost per usable contact, which only the two with price lists let you calculate before a call. The lead data category lists every finder we have reviewed with its score.
Using ZoomInfo with PureMail
ZoomInfo supplies names; it does not supply sending infrastructure. Export the list, verify it, and load it into the sequencer that your cold email inboxes from PureMail are connected to, with daily limits set for warm sending. If your team runs ZoomInfo’s Copilot workflows, the same inboxes sit underneath Outreach or Salesloft once the records are exported there. Either way, the database finds the people and the inboxes carry the reputation.

ZoomInfo FAQ
How much does ZoomInfo cost?
ZoomInfo does not publish prices. As of 5 October 2026 its pricing page lists three tiers, ZoomInfo Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise, with feature lists and free-trial buttons but no figures. The company says pricing depends on features, the number of licences and credit usage, and that add-ons and integrations can carry base fees and minimum credit purchases. Expect a quote and an annual contract.
How do ZoomInfo credits work?
A credit is consumed each time a contact or company profile is exported, whether from the web app, the ReachOut Chrome extension or an integration pushing records into a CRM or sequencer. Each package includes a monthly credit allowance sized to the contract, credits can be added when they run out, and the company says more detailed records cost more credits than basic ones.
Does ZoomInfo have a free trial?
Yes. The pricing page offers a free trial on all three tiers, and the FAQ on the same page points to case studies rather than prices to justify the cost. Use the trial on a real target list: check how many of the emails and mobile numbers are current for your market before you negotiate.
What are the best ZoomInfo alternatives?
Apollo.io publishes its prices, has a free plan with 900 credits a year and includes a sequencer. RocketReach is a pure finder with per-seat prices from $27 a month billed annually. Seamless.AI, like ZoomInfo, quotes only, but offers a free 50-credit plan. For a cold email team the question is cost per usable contact, which only Apollo.io and RocketReach let you calculate from a price list.
Can I use ZoomInfo with PureMail inboxes?
Yes, as a data source. Export lists from ZoomInfo, verify the addresses, and load them into the sequencer your PureMail inboxes are connected to. ZoomInfo's own engagement tools are built around its Copilot workflows and exports to Outreach and Salesloft; it is not an inbox provider and does not supply sending infrastructure.
