What ZeroBounce does well

  • Every price is published, from the free 100 checks a month to $3,199 for a million credits, and unknown results are never charged.
  • The ONE subscription bundles what a cold email team otherwise buys separately: warmup seeds, inbox placement tests, email finder searches, blacklist and DMARC monitors and server tests, with credits that roll over.
  • A first subscription is fully refundable within 30 days, no questions asked, and plans run month to month.
  • Detailed status codes separate valid, invalid, catch-all, spam trap, abuse, role-based and disposable addresses, with activity data and scoring on the subscription.
  • A named company, Hertza LLC trading as ZeroBounce in Santa Barbara, with 24/7 support and a 99.6% accuracy guarantee as its own claim.

Where it falls short

  • Pay-as-you-go is dear at small volumes: $0.0195 an address at 2,000 credits, roughly double what MillionVerifier charges at the same size.
  • For accounts registered after 1 June 2026, credits expire two years after the last purchase unless a subscription is active, so a big one-off purchase has a clock on it.
  • The subscription's 20% annual saving is advertised on the page but the displayed monthly figures do not change when the toggle moves, so confirm the annual total at checkout.
  • Cancelling a subscription takes effect at the next bill date with no refund of charges already processed, apart from the first-30-days guarantee.
  • The email finder costs 20 credits per successful hit, which adds up quickly next to one-credit validations.

What ZeroBounce is

ZeroBounce is an email verification service, run by Hertza LLC trading as ZeroBounce from Santa Barbara, California, that checks whether an address exists and how risky it is before you send. It has grown into a bundle: alongside bulk and real-time validation it sells scoring, an email finder, inbox placement tests, warmup seeds, blacklist and DMARC monitoring and server tests, most of them packaged into a subscription called ZeroBounce ONE. For cold email it is one of the names people look up first, because a verified list is the cheapest deliverability improvement there is.

How ZeroBounce’s pricing works

Everything is metered in credits: one per address validated, one more to score it, and 20 per successful email-finder query, with unknown results free. Sign up with a business domain and Freemium gives 100 validations a month that refill, plus one placement test, one server test, one blacklist monitor and 10 finder credits.

Pay-as-you-go starts at $39 for 2,000 credits, which is $0.0195 an address, and falls as the pack grows: $69 for 5,000, $129 for 10,000, $274 for 25,000, $499 for 50,000, $649 for 100,000, $1,299 for 250,000, $2,199 for 500,000 and $3,199 for 1,000,000, or $0.0032 an address. Above a million is enterprise pricing. The ZeroBounce ONE subscription bundles monthly credits with the other tools: at $99 a month for 10,000 credits it includes 250 warmup seeds, 100 inbox placement tests, 10,000 email finder searches, 10 blacklist monitors scanned every eight hours, one DMARC monitor domain and 100 server tests, and the quantities grow with the tier through $199 for 25,000, $379 for 50,000, $449 for 100,000, $999 for 250,000 and $1,699 for 500,000 to $2,499 for 1,000,000. Subscribers also get 15% off extra pay-as-you-go credits, and the page advertises 20% off annual billing, although the monthly figures shown do not change when the toggle moves.

On terms, subscriptions run month to month and cancel from the account for the next bill date with no refund of processed charges, but a first ZeroBounce ONE subscription is fully refundable within 30 days. Credits bought by accounts registered after 1 June 2026 expire two years after the last purchase unless a subscription is active, and the company deletes uploaded data after 30 days.

Accuracy, speed and the bundled tools

ZeroBounce claims 99.6% accuracy as a guarantee and says it cleans 100,000 addresses in about 45 minutes. Results come back as detailed statuses, valid, invalid, catch-all, spam trap, abuse, role-based and disposable among them, and the subscription adds activity data that shows which addresses have been active recently and an AI score. The inbox placement tests, warmup seeds and blacklist monitors in the bundle are the tools a cold email team otherwise buys from two or three vendors, which is the subscription’s real argument.

Who ZeroBounce is for, and who should look elsewhere

ZeroBounce suits teams that verify lists every month and want warmup seeds, placement tests and monitoring bundled with their credits for one subscription. It is a poor fit for occasional cleaners of small lists, who pay the highest per-address rate on pay-as-you-go and would do better with a cheaper verifier.

ZeroBounce alternatives

MillionVerifier is the price leader for one-off cleaning, and NeverBounce is the other large verifier with pay-as-you-go pricing. The verification tools comparison scores all three.

Using ZeroBounce with PureMail

Verify the list before it reaches the sequencer, then send from PureMail’s warmed Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 inboxes at a few dozen emails a day each. Keep catch-all and unknown addresses in a small separate campaign, because a fresh inbox cannot afford their bounce rate, and use the subscription’s placement tests on one PureMail inbox per domain to check where mail lands before a campaign scales.

ZeroBounce FAQ

How much does ZeroBounce cost?

As of 9 October 2026, pay-as-you-go starts at $39 for 2,000 credits and runs through $129 for 10,000, $649 for 100,000 and $3,199 for 1,000,000. The ZeroBounce ONE subscription is $99 a month for 10,000 credits, $449 for 100,000 and $2,499 for 1,000,000, with annual billing advertised at 20% off. Freemium gives 100 validations a month, and enterprise pricing applies above a million.

Is ZeroBounce free?

Partly. Sign up with a business domain and you get 100 validation credits a month that refill, plus one inbox placement test, one email server test, one blacklist monitor scanned daily and 10 email finder credits. That covers testing the service or cleaning a tiny list; anything larger needs pay-as-you-go credits from $39 or a subscription from $99 a month.

Do ZeroBounce credits expire?

Subscription credits never expire while a ZeroBounce ONE plan is active and roll over month to month. For other credits, the terms say that accounts registered after 1 June 2026 lose unused credits two years after their most recent purchase, with the clock paused during any active subscription. Unknown results are never charged.

Can I get a refund from ZeroBounce?

Yes, once. A first ZeroBounce ONE subscription is fully refundable if you ask within 30 days of the first payment, no questions asked; renewals and later subscriptions are excluded. Subscriptions are month to month and cancel from the account for the next bill date, with no refund of charges already processed.

Should I verify my list before cold email?

Yes, every time. Hard bounces are the fastest way to get a fresh inbox flagged, and verification removes invalid addresses before they bounce. Keep catch-all and unknown results in a separate, smaller campaign, drop role-based and disposable addresses, and send from warmed inboxes at modest daily volumes so a clean list is not wasted on a cold one.
