What PhantomBuster does well

  • More than 100 automations and ready-made workflows for LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and 15 other platforms, run in the cloud without keeping a browser open.
  • Unlimited users on every plan, so a team pays for execution time and slots rather than seats.
  • An email enrichment step with its own credits, AI filtering and writing, intent signals, scheduled refreshes and a lead warming step before outreach.
  • An MCP server on every plan, so Claude or ChatGPT can launch and read the automations, plus n8n, Zapier, Make and HubSpot for the rest.
  • A named Paris company with a free trial, no overage charges and a pricing page that spells out exactly what a slot, an hour and a credit are.

Where it falls short

  • Pricing by execution hours is hard to budget: the Start plan's 20 hours a month can run out quickly on scraping jobs, and the automations then pause until the reset.
  • Email credits are modest, 500 a month on Start and 2,500 on Grow, and the enrichment accuracy is not published.
  • Monthly plans end only at the end of the calendar month with no refund for that month, and yearly plans are refundable only after a material adverse change to the service.
  • Everything runs against your own LinkedIn account, so the automation risk to that account is yours, and the trial caps exports at 10 rows.
  • The 100,000 professionals, 2.5 million users and 270,000 daily launches are the company's own figures.

What PhantomBuster is

PhantomBuster is a cloud automation platform for lead generation. Each automation, which it calls a Phantom, does one job, such as extracting the members of a LinkedIn group, the people who reacted to a post, the results of a Sales Navigator search or the profiles of a company’s employees, and workflows chain them into something useful: scrape, enrich with emails, filter with AI, write a message, send a connection request, export to a CRM. It covers LinkedIn and Sales Navigator most deeply and lists 15 or more other platforms for data extraction. The company is The Phantom Company, a French SAS registered in Paris, and the site claims more than 100,000 professionals, 2.5 million users since 2016 and 270,000 automations launched a day, which are its own figures.

PhantomBuster pricing

Three paid plans and a trial, all with unlimited users, priced by capacity rather than seats. Start is $69 a month, or $56 a month on yearly billing ($672 a year), for 5 automation slots, 20 hours of execution time a month, 500 email credits, 10,000 AI credits and 1,000 URL finder credits. Grow, the plan the page marks as most popular, is $159 a month or $128 yearly ($1,536) for 15 slots, 80 hours, 2,500 email credits, 30,000 AI credits and 10,000 URL finder credits. Scale is $439 a month or $352 yearly ($4,224) for 50 slots, 300 hours, 10,000 email credits, 90,000 AI credits and 20,000 URL finder credits. The trial gives 5 slots, 2 hours, 50 email credits and 1,000 AI credits with exports capped at 10 rows. Yearly billing saves 20%. Slots are how many Phantoms run at once; execution time is the monthly running budget, and when it runs out the automations pause until the reset or an upgrade, with no overage charges; email credits are spent only when a profile is enriched with an address.

The terms are strict on exits. Plans renew automatically. A monthly plan ends at the end of the calendar month in which you give notice, with no refund for that month. A yearly plan can be ended early, with a refund, only where a material adverse change to the service causes you material harm. The trial does not renew.

Automations and integrations

Everything runs in PhantomBuster’s cloud, so a launched Phantom keeps working with your browser closed. You connect your LinkedIn account, pick a Phantom or a workflow template, set the input, a search URL or a spreadsheet, and schedule it, with daily auto-refresh for lists that should stay current. The enrichment step adds emails from the credit pool, AI credits power filtering and message writing, and intent signals and a lead warming step sit in front of the LinkedIn outreach campaigns, which can run across several LinkedIn accounts. Outputs go to HubSpot and other CRMs, to thousands of tools through n8n, Zapier and Make, and, through the MCP server on every plan, to Claude or ChatGPT, where you can launch and read automations from a chat. A Chrome extension saves profiles as you browse.

Data quality and what to do with it

PhantomBuster works from publicly available data accessed through your own accounts, which it says is what keeps it compliant, and it publishes no accuracy figure for the email enrichment. The practical consequences are two. The LinkedIn account doing the work is yours, so keep the automations within LinkedIn’s tolerance for volume and pacing or the account bears the risk. And the enriched emails need verifying before they reach a sequencer, because a 500-credit monthly allowance spent on unverified addresses is a bounce list. Build in PhantomBuster, verify elsewhere, send from dedicated inboxes.

Who PhantomBuster is for, and who should look elsewhere

PhantomBuster suits teams that build lists from LinkedIn activity, groups and searches, enrich them and push them to a CRM or sequencer without writing code. It is a poor fit for anyone who wants a flat per-seat price, generous email credits, or a refund if it does not work out.

PhantomBuster alternatives

Waalaxy is simpler and cheaper for LinkedIn invitations and follow-ups, with a 14-day trial. Dripify runs LinkedIn sequences from the cloud with per-seat pricing. HeyReach is built for agencies running many LinkedIn accounts at once. The LinkedIn automation comparison scores all of them.

Using PhantomBuster with PureMail

PhantomBuster builds and enriches the list; it does not supply inboxes or send email. Extract the audience with the LinkedIn Phantoms, enrich with the email step, verify, and export to the sequencer your PureMail inboxes are connected to, with daily limits set for warm sending. For a multichannel play, let PhantomBuster handle the LinkedIn touches while the email steps go out from the dedicated inboxes, so your LinkedIn account and your sending domains each carry only their own risk.

PhantomBuster FAQ

How much does PhantomBuster cost?

As of 6 October 2026, Start is $69 a month or $56 a month billed yearly ($672), Grow is $159 or $128 yearly ($1,536), and Scale is $439 or $352 yearly ($4,224), all with unlimited users. The plans differ in automation slots (5, 15 and 50), execution time (20, 80 and 300 hours a month), email credits (500, 2,500 and 10,000 a month), AI credits and URL finder credits. A free trial gives 5 slots, 2 hours and 50 email credits with exports capped at 10 rows.

What are Phantoms, slots and execution time?

A Phantom is one automation, such as extracting the people who commented on a LinkedIn post or enriching a list with emails, and a workflow chains several. Slots are how many automations can run at the same time. Execution time is the monthly budget of hours the automations may run; when it is used up they pause until the reset or an upgrade, with no overage charge. Email credits are separate and are spent when a profile is enriched with an email address.

Is PhantomBuster free?

There is a free trial rather than a free plan: 5 slots, 2 hours of execution, 50 email credits, 1,000 AI credits and 100 URL finder credits, with exports limited to 10 rows. It is enough to test a workflow end to end on your own account, not enough to build a list.

Can I cancel PhantomBuster, and is there a refund?

Subscriptions renew automatically. For a monthly plan, termination takes effect at the end of the calendar month in which you give notice, and the terms say no refund is given for that month. For a yearly plan, the terms allow termination and a refund only where a material adverse change to the service causes you material harm. The free trial does not renew.

Can I use PhantomBuster with PureMail inboxes?

Yes, for the list. Build the audience with the LinkedIn and Sales Navigator Phantoms, enrich it with the email step, verify the addresses, and export to the sequencer your PureMail inboxes are connected to. PhantomBuster's own outreach runs over LinkedIn, so the email side of a multichannel sequence still comes from your inboxes and the daily limits you set on them.
