What Mailmeteor does well
- Cheap and simple: a free plan with 500 emails a month, then $5.99 a user for 5,000, and even the top plan is $35.99 with 10 senders and inbox rotation.
- Sends from your own Gmail, Google Workspace or Outlook account over OAuth, or from any mailbox over SMTP and IMAP, so replies land in the inbox you already use.
- Cold email features most mail merges lack: Autopilot pacing, verification, reply and bounce detection, follow-ups, a custom tracking domain and one warmed inbox from Premium up.
- A named Paris company running since 2018, with monthly or yearly billing, cancellation that takes effect at once, and no 12-month lock-in below Enterprise.
- Explicit daily caps per plan, 50, 250, 1,000 and 2,000, so you know what you are buying before you reach Google's own limits.
Where it falls short
- Built around one person's inbox: one sender on Hobby and Starter, five on Premium, ten on Professional, and the daily cap is per plan rather than per sender.
- Sending from your main Google Workspace account puts your real domain's reputation at risk, which is the opposite of what dedicated cold email inboxes are for.
- No refund of the unused part of a month or year, and you cannot re-subscribe to the same monthly plan within 21 days.
- The site says 6 million users in one place and 7 million in another, the 4.9 out of 5 is its own aggregate of 11,741 reviews, and the terms cite an anti-spam policy the site does not link.
- Google's caps still apply underneath: 500 a day on a free Gmail account and 2,000 on Workspace, whatever the plan says.

What Mailmeteor is
Mailmeteor is a mail merge and email campaign tool that sends through your own Gmail, Google Workspace or Outlook account. It started in 2018 as a Google Sheets add-on and now runs as a Gmail extension, a Sheets and Docs add-on, an Excel add-in and a standalone dashboard, with the campaign, tracking and reply tools layered on top of the inbox you already use. The company behind it is Mailmeteor SAS in Paris, led by two cofounders who met at the STATION F campus, and it describes itself as independent and profitable. The site claims 7 million users on one line and 6 million on another, a 4.9 out of 5 rating from 11,741 reviews aggregated from the Chrome Web Store, Capterra and Trustpilot, and a recommendation from Google for Workspace. All of those are its own figures.
Mailmeteor pricing
Four self-serve plans, priced per user. Hobby is free: 500 emails a month, 50 a day, three campaigns, one sender and 5,000 contacts, with the Gmail, Sheets and Excel add-ons. Starter is $5.99 a month, or $53.99 a year, which is $4.49 a month, for 5,000 emails a month and 250 a day with unlimited campaigns, Autopilot pacing, shared and HTML templates, verification, reply detection, Zapier and the branding removed. Premium is $17.99 a month, or $161.99 a year ($13.49 a month), for 30,000 a month and 1,000 a day with five senders, five follow-up steps, Sheets automations, one warmed inbox, bounce and bot detection, a custom tracking domain and the AI assistant. Professional is $35.99 a month, or $323.99 a year ($26.99 a month), for 60,000 a month and 2,000 a day with ten senders, inbox rotation, ten follow-up steps, CRM integration, onboarding and priority support. The yearly toggle is sold as three months free, prices can be shown in dollars, euros or rupees, and Enterprise runs on 12-month terms with a minimum annual fee the terms call non-cancellable and non-refundable.
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically. Cancellation is from the billing section of the dashboard and takes effect immediately, with no further renewals. The terms say Mailmeteor does not refund unused fees for a started month or year, even pro rata, so cancel at the end of a paid period rather than the start of one, and they bar re-subscribing to the same monthly plan within 21 days. Fee changes come with 30 days’ notice by email.
Senders, limits and integrations
A sender is any mailbox Mailmeteor can send from. Gmail, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 connect over OAuth without a password; anything else connects with SMTP for sending and IMAP for reply detection, and the docs walk through providers such as Hostinger and Zoho. Hobby and Starter allow one sender, Premium five and Professional ten, and only Professional rotates a campaign across several senders. The monthly and daily caps belong to the plan, not the sender, and Google’s own limits sit underneath them: the site puts those at 500 a day for a free Gmail account and 2,000 for Workspace. Campaigns run from the Gmail extension, from a Google Sheet or Doc, from Excel or from the dashboard, with personalisation, attachments, scheduling, Autopilot pacing, follow-ups triggered by opens, clicks or replies, Sheets automations that fire on triggers, Zapier, and a CRM integration on Professional. A Deliverability Hub scores each sender on DNS, blacklist status and reputation signals.
Cold email features and what to watch
For small-scale cold email the pieces are there: verification before sending, Autopilot delays between emails, bounce and bot detection, reply detection that stops follow-ups, a custom tracking domain so tracked links do not share a domain with every other user, and one warmed inbox on Premium and above through a network the site puts at 35,000 inboxes. The company also publishes its own cold email guides and a cold email writer, so outreach is clearly within what it expects, although the terms cite an anti-spam policy that the site does not link anywhere we could find. The thing to watch is where the emails come from. Mailmeteor sends from the account you connect, and if that is your main Google Workspace account, every cold campaign spends your real domain’s reputation. Put secondary inboxes on secondary domains behind it, keep daily volume per inbox low, and treat the plan cap as a ceiling rather than a target.
Who Mailmeteor is for, and who should look elsewhere
Mailmeteor suits founders and small teams who want to run personal-scale outreach from Gmail or Google Sheets with follow-ups and tracking, on up to ten inboxes. It is a poor fit for agencies or teams that need dozens of inboxes, per-inbox daily limits, or sending infrastructure of any kind.
Mailmeteor alternatives
YAMM is the other Gmail mail merge, cheaper at $3 to $6 a month per account but with one account per licence and no sender rotation. For anything beyond ten inboxes, the tools in the sequencer comparison are built around many inboxes and per-inbox limits rather than a single person’s Gmail.
Using Mailmeteor with PureMail
PureMail inboxes are Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 accounts, and Mailmeteor connects both over OAuth as senders. On Premium that means five PureMail inboxes behind one campaign, on Professional ten with inbox rotation across them, so the outreach never touches your main domain and the replies still land in a real mailbox. Keep each inbox to a conservative daily volume, let the plan’s 2,000-a-day cap be the ceiling, and move to a sequencer built for volume once you need more inboxes than that.

Mailmeteor FAQ
How much does Mailmeteor cost?
As of 6 October 2026, Hobby is free with 500 emails a month. Starter is $5.99 per user a month, or $53.99 a year, which is $4.49 a month. Premium is $17.99 a month or $161.99 a year ($13.49 a month), and Professional is $35.99 a month or $323.99 a year ($26.99 a month). Yearly billing is sold as three months free. Enterprise plans are quoted on 12-month terms with a minimum annual fee, and the page can show prices in dollars, euros or rupees.
How many emails can I send with Mailmeteor?
The plan sets the cap: 500 a month and 50 a day on Hobby, 5,000 and 250 on Starter, 30,000 and 1,000 on Premium, and 60,000 and 2,000 on Professional. Underneath that sit Google's own limits, which Mailmeteor's site puts at 500 a day for a free Gmail account and 2,000 for Google Workspace. Hobby and Starter allow one sender, Premium five and Professional ten, and only Professional rotates sending across them.
Can I use Mailmeteor for cold email?
Yes, at small scale. The site publishes its own cold email guides, and the paid plans add the pieces cold email needs: Autopilot pacing with delays, verification before sending, reply and bounce detection, follow-ups on Premium and above, a custom tracking domain and one warmed inbox. The limits are the catch. Everything goes out from your own accounts, so use secondary inboxes on secondary domains rather than your main Workspace account, and plan around the per-plan daily cap, which tops out at 2,000 across ten senders.
Can I cancel Mailmeteor, and is there a refund?
Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from the billing section of the dashboard and the cancellation takes effect immediately, with no further renewals. The terms say Mailmeteor does not refund the unused part of a month or year, even pro rata, so time the cancellation to the end of the period you paid for. They also bar re-subscribing to the same monthly plan within 21 days on the same account.
Can I use Mailmeteor with PureMail inboxes?
Yes. PureMail inboxes are Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 accounts, and Mailmeteor connects both over OAuth as senders, five on Premium and ten on Professional, with inbox rotation across them on Professional. That gives you a cheap way to run follow-up sequences from a small set of dedicated inboxes without touching your main domain. The plan-wide cap of 2,000 a day still applies, so beyond ten inboxes you will want a sequencer built for volume.
