What YAMM does well
- The cheapest tool in this directory: $36 a year for a Gmail account, $72 for a Google Workspace account, and a free plan of 20 recipients a day with no time limit.
- Sends from your own Gmail or Workspace account through Google, so deliverability is Google's rather than a third party's, and replies land in your inbox.
- Personalisation from a sheet with attachments, images and links, scheduling, follow-ups in the same thread, aliases, personalised CC and BCC, and one-click surveys.
- Real-time tracking of opens, clicks, responses, bounces and unsubscribes, with automatic splitting of campaigns that exceed the daily quota.
- No data retention of drafts, recipients or sheet contents by the company, which is Talarian in Luxembourg.
Where it falls short
- A mail merge, not a sequencer: one Google account per licence, no inbox rotation and no multi-step sequences across many mailboxes.
- Daily limits are tied to Google's: 400 recipients on a Gmail account, 1,500 on Workspace, and Google can rate-limit an account that sends too much.
- Sending cold email from your main Google Workspace domain puts that domain's reputation at risk, which is the opposite of how cold email infrastructure is built.
- No prorated refunds, refunds only in extraordinary cases within 90 days, and yearly billing that renews automatically.
- Reporting and deliverability tooling are basic next to dedicated outreach tools.

What YAMM is
YAMM, Yet Another Mail Merge, is a Google Sheets add-on that sends personalised emails through your own Gmail or Google Workspace account. You write a draft in Gmail with placeholders, point YAMM at a sheet of recipients, and it sends one email per row, tracks opens, clicks, responses, bounces and unsubscribes back into the sheet, and schedules or follows up. It has been around since 2014, is made by Talarian in Luxembourg, and ranks among the most installed Workspace add-ons. It is not a cold email tool, and this page exists because people searching for it often wonder whether it could be.
YAMM pricing
Plans are per Google account and billed yearly. The free plan sends to 20 recipients a day with open, click and response tracking, unsubscribe and bounce tracking and no branded footer. Pro for a gmail.com account is $3 a month, $36 billed annually, for 400 recipients a day and adds scheduling and priority support. Pro for a Google Workspace account is $6 a month, $72 billed annually, for 1,500 recipients a day, and the page is careful about that number: it applies to a paid, non-trial Workspace account that has not sent more than 500 emails in the last 24 hours and has not been rate-limited by Google. Team is $6 a user a month on a Workspace domain, so 5 accounts cost $30 a month or $360 billed annually, with 1,500 a day per user; above 100 users YAMM quotes a custom price. Prices vary by billing country and exclude tax.
The terms are strict but plainly stated. Licences renew automatically with a reminder, cancellation takes effect at the end of the term with no prorated refund, and refunds are given only in extraordinary circumstances and never on subscriptions older than 90 days.
What it does
The feature list is deep for the price: Gmail Layouts and HTML templates, personalised subject lines, links, images and attachments, sending from an alias, personalised CC and BCC, scheduling, follow-up campaigns in the same thread, filtered follow-ups, one-click surveys, Google Forms notifications, and automatic splitting of a campaign that exceeds the daily quota. Tracking is real time and lives in the sheet. The company says it never stores your drafts, recipients or sheet contents.
Why it is not a cold email tool
Three reasons. YAMM runs inside one Google account per licence, so there is no rotation across a fleet of inboxes and no way to spread 2,000 sends across 40 mailboxes the way a sequencer does. Its daily limits are Google’s, 400 on Gmail and 1,500 on Workspace, and Google will rate-limit an account that pushes them with unsolicited mail. And it sends from the account you install it in, which for most people is their main domain, the one domain cold email infrastructure exists to protect. For personalised one-off campaigns to people who know you, warm follow-ups, event invitations and the like, it is excellent and almost free.
Who YAMM is for, and who should look elsewhere
YAMM suits individuals and small teams sending personalised one-off campaigns or warm follow-ups from their own Gmail or Google Workspace account at the lowest possible price. It is a poor fit for cold email at volume. Mailmeteor and GMass are the usual Gmail mail-merge comparisons, and for cold outreach the dedicated sequencers, Smartlead, Instantly and lemlist among them, are the tools to look at; we have not reviewed them yet. The sequencers category lists every tool we have reviewed with its score.
Using YAMM with PureMail
If you want to use YAMM for outreach at small scale, run it from a Google Workspace inbox on a secondary domain rather than your main one. A Google Workspace inbox from PureMail is exactly that: a warmed account on its own domain, with DNS done, that keeps your primary domain out of the picture. Keep the daily volume well below YAMM’s quota, verify the list first, and move to a sequencer once you need more than one or two inboxes.
YAMM FAQ
How much does YAMM cost?
As of 6 October 2026, the free plan allows 20 recipients a day. Pro for a gmail.com account is $3 a month, $36 billed annually, for 400 recipients a day. Pro for a Google Workspace account is $6 a month, $72 billed annually, for 1,500 a day. Team is $6 a user a month on a Workspace domain, so 5 accounts cost $30 a month or $360 billed annually. Above 100 users YAMM quotes a custom price. Prices vary by country and exclude tax.
What are YAMM's sending limits?
The free plan sends to 20 recipients a day, Pro gmail.com to 400 and Pro Google Workspace to 1,500. The 1,500 figure applies only to a paid, non-trial Workspace account that has not sent more than 500 emails in the last 24 hours and has not been rate-limited by Google. YAMM splits larger campaigns across days automatically.
Is YAMM free?
Yes, up to 20 recipients a day, with tracking and unsubscribe handling included and no branded footer. It is enough for a small announcement or a test, and the free plan has no time limit.
Can I get a refund from YAMM?
Rarely. The pricing page says YAMM does not provide refunds unless extraordinary circumstances warrant them, such as moving from an individual plan to an enterprise plan, and never on subscriptions older than 90 days. You can cancel at any time, keep the licence until the end of the term, and switch off automatic renewal.
Can I use YAMM for cold email with PureMail inboxes?
Only at small scale. YAMM runs inside a single Google account, so it can send from a Google Workspace inbox on a secondary domain, which is safer than your main domain, but it cannot rotate across a fleet of inboxes or run multi-step sequences the way a cold email sequencer does. For a few hundred personalised emails a day from one or two warmed inboxes it works; beyond that, connect PureMail inboxes to a sequencer instead.
