What Instant Data Scraper does well

  • Free with no catch: no account, no credits, no paid tier, and 1,000,000 users with a 4.9 rating from 7,800 reviews on the Chrome Web Store.
  • Works on any site without scripts: it guesses the main table or listing on the page, and a Try another table button cycles through alternatives.
  • Follows Next buttons and infinite scroll, with an adjustable crawl delay, so a whole directory lands in one spreadsheet.
  • Exports to CSV or Excel at any point during a crawl, with column renaming and filtering before you download.
  • The listing says scraped data never leaves your browser, and the publisher's privacy declaration says it is not sold or used for unrelated purposes.

Where it falls short

  • It changed hands in 2026: Web Robots, which built it, says it no longer owns, develops or supports it, and the new publisher Flavr Technology is little known.
  • It scrapes what is on the page: no email finding, no verification, no enrichment, so a directory without emails gives you names and companies only.
  • Output needs cleanup; the original developer's own guide warns to expect extra columns and to rename headers.
  • Many sites, including LinkedIn, prohibit scraping in their terms, and personal data you collect is subject to privacy law; keep it to business contact data on sites that allow it.
  • Dynamic pages, logins and anti-bot measures can defeat it, and there is no vendor documentation or video from the current owner.

What Instant Data Scraper is

Instant Data Scraper is a browser extension for Chrome and Edge that pulls the list or table on a web page into a spreadsheet. It guesses which block of the page is the data, follows Next buttons and infinite scroll to collect every page, and exports CSV or Excel at any point. It is free, with no account and no credits, and the Chrome Web Store shows 1,000,000 users, a 4.9 rating from 7,800 reviews and a Featured badge. For list building it is the fastest way to turn a directory, a marketplace or a search results page into rows you can work with.

It was built by Web Robots, a scraping company in Lithuania, and that history matters now. In March 2026 Web Robots posted that Instant Data is no longer owned, developed or supported by it. The store listing names Flavr Technology, LP of Wilmington, Delaware as the publisher, and the current version, 1.7.1, was updated on 23 August 2026. The extension still works as before; what has changed is who maintains it and whose privacy policy governs it.

What it costs

Nothing. There is no paid tier and no limit on pages or rows beyond what your browser can handle. The store listing says scraped data does not leave your browser, and the publisher’s privacy declaration says data is not sold to third parties or used for unrelated purposes. Support is a community Facebook group and the publisher’s email address; there is no documentation from the current owner, so the original developer’s how-to page remains the best guide.

How it works for lead lists

Open the first page of a listing, such as a trade association’s member directory or a marketplace category, and click the extension. It highlights the table it found; if it picked the wrong block, Try another table cycles through alternatives. If the data runs across pages, click Locate Next button and mark the site’s Next link, set a crawl delay of a second or two so dynamic pages finish loading, and press Start crawling. For pages that load more rows as you scroll, switch on infinite scroll. Download CSV or Excel whenever you like, then clean the file: expect extra columns and headers that need renaming.

Limits and risks

The extension scrapes what is on the page. It does not find email addresses, verify them or enrich company data, so a directory without emails gives you names, companies and websites only. Pages behind logins, pages that render data unusually and sites with bot protection can defeat it. The ownership change is the bigger question for anyone building a process on it: a free extension with a new, little-known publisher and no support channel can change or disappear, so review its permissions when you install it and keep an alternative in mind.

Finally, the rules. Many sites prohibit scraping in their terms, LinkedIn among them, and personal data is covered by privacy law in most countries. Keep to business contact data on sites that allow it, use the crawl delay rather than hammering a server, and give the people you email a clear way to opt out.

Who Instant Data Scraper is for, and who should look elsewhere

It suits founders and SDRs building small, targeted lists from directories, association sites, marketplaces and search results without paying for a scraper. It is a poor fit for teams that need emails found and verified in the same tool, for scraping behind logins at scale, or for any workflow that must keep running if the extension is abandoned.

What to pair it with

Because the extension finds no emails, the useful stack is scrape, find, verify, send. ContactOut and SignalHire turn names and companies into email addresses at a flat or per-credit price, and Apollo.io can do the same from inside its own database and sequencer. Every list then goes through a verifier; our verification tool reviews cover the options. The lead data category lists every finder we have reviewed with its score.

Using Instant Data Scraper with PureMail

A scraped list is only the first step. Find and verify the emails, then load the clean list into the sequencer that your sending inboxes from PureMail are connected to, with daily limits set for warm sending. Scraped lists tend to be broad, so keep volumes per inbox low and watch bounce rates on the first few hundred sends.

Instant Data Scraper FAQ

Is Instant Data Scraper free?

Yes, completely. As of 5 October 2026 there is no paid tier, no credit system and no account. You install it from the Chrome Web Store or the Edge store, open a page with a list or table, and export to CSV or Excel. The original developer's page and the store listing both say the extension is free.

Who owns Instant Data Scraper now?

The Chrome Web Store lists Flavr Technology, LP of Wilmington, Delaware as the publisher, with version 1.7.1 updated on 23 August 2026. Web Robots, the Lithuanian scraping company that built it, posted in March 2026 that Instant Data is no longer owned, developed or supported by Web Robots. Support is now a community Facebook group and the publisher's email address.

What websites does Instant Data Scraper work on?

Any page with repeating rows: directories, marketplaces, search results, review sites and association member lists. The developer tested it on Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, Walmart, Etsy and Yellow Pages. It detects the main table automatically, can follow Next links across pages and handles infinite scroll. Pages that require a login, load data unusually or block bots may not work.

Is it allowed to scrape lists for cold email?

It depends on the site and the data. Many sites prohibit scraping in their terms, LinkedIn among them, and personal data is covered by privacy law in most countries. Keep to business contact data on sites that permit it, respect any rate limits with the crawl delay, and give people a clear way to opt out of your emails. We are not lawyers; check the rules that apply to you.

How do I turn a scraped list into a cold email list?

Scrape the names, companies and websites, then run them through an email finder, since the extension finds no emails of its own. Verify the result before it reaches an inbox, because finder output includes catch-all domains and stale addresses, and load the clean list into the sequencer connected to your sending inboxes.
