ScaledMail's per-provider pricing and its 2,000-emails-a-day example, captured 30 September 2026.

What ScaledMail does well

  • All three mailbox types in one package: Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook and SMTP, mixed in whatever ratio your volume calls for.
  • Fully managed. Domains, DNS, provisioning, IP rotation and ongoing monitoring are done by ScaledMail, with a dedicated Slack channel for support.
  • Outlook at $50 a domain for 25 mailboxes works out at $2 a mailbox, and SMTP at under a dollar, which makes high-volume packages cheap on paper.
  • A calculator that builds the package from your daily target, and a published worked example at 2,000 emails a day.
  • Publishes per-provider sending caps and its own view that lower daily volume is safer for the long run.

Where it falls short

  • The per-mailbox caps are low: 25 emails a day on Google and only 10 on Outlook and SMTP, so the cheap providers need many more mailboxes for the same volume.
  • Reporting is an add-on that can cost more than the mailboxes: in ScaledMail's own 2,000-a-day example the base is $397.75 and reporting adds $256.
  • Google Workspace at $3.50 a mailbox is above PureMail's $3.30 at 10 inboxes and $3.10 at 30 to 100, before any reporting.
  • Minimum commitment, refund terms and replacement policy are listed as FAQ questions on the pricing page but the answers are not shown there.
  • Setup takes 24 to 72 hours rather than same-day.

What ScaledMail is

ScaledMail is a managed cold email infrastructure service that builds a sending fleet to a target volume rather than selling a fixed plan. You tell its calculator how many emails a day you want to send, choose any mix of Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook and SMTP mailboxes, and ScaledMail registers or connects the domains, sets SPF, DKIM and DMARC, provisions the mailboxes with IP rotation and monitors them, with a dedicated Slack channel for support. The site says it is trusted by more than 2,000 agencies and lists Smartlead, Instantly, EmailBison, Apollo, lemlist, PlusVibe and Supersend as the sequencers it works with. Setup takes 24 to 72 hours.

ScaledMail pricing

Prices are per provider, not per plan. Google Workspace mailboxes cost $3.50 a month each, placed two or three to a domain, with a cap of 25 emails a day per mailbox. Microsoft Outlook is $50 a month per domain, which carries 25 mailboxes, so $2 a mailbox, capped at 10 emails a day. SMTP is $3.75 a month per domain with four mailboxes, about $0.94 each, also capped at 10 a day. Domains, DNS, provisioning, rotation and monitoring are included in all three.

Reporting is not. It is an add-on at $2 per mailbox a month on Google and SMTP, or $5 per domain on Outlook, and it changes the arithmetic. ScaledMail’s own worked example for 2,000 emails a day, split evenly across the three providers, comes to 42 domains and 218 mailboxes for $397.75 a month, plus $256 a month if you add reporting on every account. That is $654 for 2,000 a day with visibility, or $398 without.

Read the caps before the prices

The cheap providers are cheap because they send less. An Outlook mailbox at $2 sends 10 emails a day; a Google Workspace mailbox at $3.50 sends 25. Per email sent, Google on ScaledMail costs $0.14 a day of capacity and Outlook $0.20, so the “most popular” Outlook option is the more expensive one per email despite the lower sticker. SMTP at $0.94 for 10 a day is the genuine bargain at $0.09, with the usual trade-off that SMTP mailboxes carry none of Google’s or Microsoft’s sender reputation.

Setup, monitoring and what is not stated

The managed side is the strength. You do not touch DNS, you do not create mailboxes, and ScaledMail watches the fleet after launch. What the pricing page does not say, despite listing the questions in its FAQ, is the minimum commitment, the refund terms, or what happens when a mailbox is blocked. Ask on the demo call before you sign, and get the answers in writing.

Who ScaledMail is for, and who should look elsewhere

ScaledMail fits agencies sending several thousand emails a day who want one vendor to run a mixed fleet and will pay for reporting to keep it healthy. It is a weaker fit for a team running 10 to 100 inboxes, where a fixed per-inbox price with setup included is cheaper and faster, and for anyone who needs inboxes today rather than in two or three days.

Why PureMail is cheaper on Google Workspace, and where ScaledMail wins

For Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 accounts, PureMail’s inboxes cost $3.30 each for 10, $3.10 for 30 to 100 and $2.90 for 101 or more, with SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX configured and the sequencer connection done in about four hours. That is below ScaledMail’s $3.50 Google mailbox before reporting, and there is no add-on to see what your inboxes are doing.

ScaledMail wins when you want three provider types in one managed package with monitoring and a Slack channel, and at high volume its SMTP option is far cheaper per mailbox than anything we sell. If that is the fleet you run, it belongs on the shortlist. The table below puts both side by side.
