What Outreach does well
- The most complete sales engagement suite in this directory: sequences across email, calls and LinkedIn, a dialer, conversation intelligence, deal and pipeline management and forecasting.
- Deep CRM sync with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and HubSpot, which is the reason most enterprise teams buy it.
- AI agents for research, personalisation, deals and revenue, metered by credits so usage can grow without adding seats.
- An API with generous call allowances, webhooks and an MCP server for teams building their own workflows.
- Enterprise support, onboarding services and a long record; the company says it predicts deal outcomes with 81 percent accuracy.
Where it falls short
- No published prices anywhere: every package says Request pricing, so budgeting means a sales cycle.
- Seat licences plus consumption credits are hard to forecast, and credit packs and add-ons are quoted on top.
- Order forms renew automatically and prices can change on 60 days of notice, which is enterprise contracting rather than month-to-month.
- Built around reps and their own mailboxes sending to known accounts, not around fleets of rotating inboxes sending cold email at volume.
- Essentials has no sequences at all; multichannel outreach starts at Core, and the accuracy and productivity figures on the page are the company's own.

What Outreach is
Outreach is the enterprise sales engagement platform, now describing itself as an AI agent platform for revenue teams. It covers sequences across email, phone and LinkedIn, a dialer, conversation intelligence that records and scores calls, deal and pipeline management, forecasting and a growing set of AI agents, all synced to Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or HubSpot. It is built for account executives, SDR teams and sales leaders at mid-market and enterprise companies, and it is bought through sales. The company’s site moved from outreach.io to outreach.ai alongside the AI repositioning.
Outreach pricing
There are no prices on the pricing page. What it does publish is the structure. Four packages, Amplify Essentials, Core, Plus and Pro, combine seat-based licences with consumption-based AI credits: 10,000, 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000 credits respectively. Each AI action, such as generating a personalised message or completing a search, has a defined credit cost that is deducted when it runs, and extra credit packs can be bought at any time. Essentials centres on conversation intelligence and coaching and has no sequences; Core adds multichannel sequences, reporting and 250,000 API calls; Plus, marked most popular, adds account planning, live coaching, deal health and 500,000 API calls; Pro adds forecasting, territory management, managed services and a million API calls. Add-ons such as data sharing, connectors, additional instances and listener licences, and professional services for onboarding, are quoted separately. The page says per-user pricing, no platform fees and support included. The terms describe order forms with an initial term that renews automatically and fees that can change on 60 days of notice before renewal.
Sequences and sending
Sequences run email, calls and LinkedIn steps with branching, AI-written drafts and reply handling that merges responses from several contacts at an account into one thread. Sending goes through the Gmail and Office 365 mailboxes that users connect, with Microsoft accounts connected through Microsoft Graph and extra mailboxes and aliases supported per user, not through Outreach’s own servers, so deliverability rests on those mailboxes, their warmup and their daily limits. That design suits a rep sending to named accounts. It does not suit the way cold email at volume is run today, with dozens of inboxes across several domains rotating a few hundred sends a day; the dedicated sequencers are built for that and Outreach is not.
Who Outreach is for, and who should look elsewhere
Outreach suits mid-market and enterprise revenue teams that want sequences, CRM sync, conversation intelligence and forecasting in one platform, have the budget for an enterprise contract and want the AI agents. It is a poor fit for agencies and small teams running high-volume cold email from fleets of inboxes, and for anyone who needs a price before a sales call. Salesloft is the usual enterprise comparison; for cold email at volume, Smartlead, Instantly and lemlist are the tools to look at, and Apollo.io, which we have reviewed, bundles a sequencer with a contact database at a published price.
Using Outreach with PureMail
If your team runs Outreach, the inboxes still have to come from somewhere. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 inboxes that PureMail provisions and warms connect as sending mailboxes for Outreach users. Keep each mailbox’s daily sends conservative, warm it before it enters a sequence, and spread senders across domains so that one burned domain does not take a whole team offline. The inbox provider category compares every option for the mailboxes themselves.
Outreach alternatives we have reviewed
Apollo.io
B2B contact database plus a built-in sequencer: free tier, then $49, $79 and $119 a seat a month billed annually, with credits for emails and phones.
Outreach FAQ
How much does Outreach cost?
Outreach does not publish prices. As of 6 October 2026 its pricing page lists four packages, Amplify Essentials, Core, Plus and Pro, each with a Request pricing button, and says cost depends on team size, the AI workflows you activate and the capabilities you need. Pricing combines seat-based licences with consumption-based AI credits, and the page says there are no platform fees and support is included.
How do Outreach AI credits work?
Each package includes a credit allowance: 10,000 on Essentials, 25,000 on Core, 50,000 on Plus and 100,000 on Pro. Every AI action, such as generating a personalised message or completing a search, has a defined credit cost that is deducted when it runs. Teams that need more can buy additional credit packs at any time.
Does Outreach have a Chrome extension?
Yes, Outreach Everywhere. It is a Chrome extension for users of the platform that adds an Outreach side panel to Gmail, Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365, with templates, snippets, tasks, click-to-call and the ability to add prospects to sequences from the page you are viewing. It is installed per user and requires a paid Outreach account; the support centre carries install and troubleshooting guides.
What are the alternatives to Outreach for cold email?
For enterprise sales engagement, Salesloft is the usual comparison. For cold email at volume, the dedicated sequencers, Smartlead, Instantly, lemlist and Apollo.io among them, connect dozens of inboxes, rotate sending across them and cost a fraction of an enterprise contract. Apollo.io also bundles a contact database; we have reviewed it, and the others are coming.
Can I use Outreach with PureMail inboxes?
Yes. Outreach sends through the mailboxes you connect rather than through its own servers: its support centre documents connecting Office 365 mailboxes through Microsoft Graph and Gmail mailboxes, adding additional mailboxes to a user and configuring aliases. Warmed Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 inboxes from PureMail connect the same way. Keep daily limits conservative and warm each mailbox before it goes into a sequence.
