What Mailforge does well
- The cheapest slots in the Salesforge family: $3 a month, $2.50 billed yearly, and down to $1.67 past 1,000 slots.
- A shared pool is the right choice for senders who expect spam complaints, by the company's own guidance, because no single IP carries your reputation.
- Setup in about five minutes with SPF, DKIM, DMARC and a tracking domain written automatically, bulk DNS edits, a workspace per client and an API.
- Monthly billing exists, unlike its sibling Infraforge, and slots can be reused as you delete and recreate mailboxes.
- Part of a stack: Salesforge for sending, Warmforge for warmup with one free slot, Primeforge for Google and Microsoft accounts, Infraforge for dedicated IPs.
Where it falls short
- A shared IP pool means your reputation travels with everyone else's on the pool, and there is no dedicated IP option on this product.
- SMTP mailboxes on Mailforge's infrastructure, not Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 accounts, so they start without those providers' reputation.
- Cancellation only through live chat, at least 7 days before the term ends, or the plan renews; prepaid fees are not refunded.
- A 10-slot minimum, billed whether or not you create the mailboxes, and warmup is a separate subscription.
- The 10,000 businesses and 4.9 rating figures are the company's own.

What Mailforge is
Mailforge is the shared-infrastructure product in the Salesforge family, which also includes the Salesforge sequencer, Infraforge for private servers with dedicated IPs, Primeforge for Google and Microsoft accounts and Warmforge for warmup. It sells SMTP mailboxes on a shared IP pool, priced as slots, with domains bought in the app and DNS written for you. The company says more than 10,000 businesses use it, from one-person teams to Fortune 500 companies, and cites a 4.9 rating; those are its figures.
Its own FAQ explains the positioning plainly. Mailforge distributes your mailboxes among many businesses on a shared pool, the way Gmail and Outlook do, and the company recommends it when you expect a high rate of spam complaints. Infraforge, with dedicated servers, is for senders who follow deliverability practice strictly. Primeforge is for teams that want the real Google or Microsoft accounts.
Mailforge pricing
Everything is sold in slots, with a minimum of 10, billed monthly or yearly. On monthly billing a slot costs $3 a month for the first 100 add-on slots above the base 10, stepping down by 10 cents per hundred slots to $2 past 1,000. On yearly billing a slot costs $30 a year, or $2.50 a month, stepping down by a dollar a year per hundred slots to $20, or $1.67 a month, past 1,000. Those tier tables come from the pricing calculator’s own code. Domains cost $14 a year each, charged yearly with no discount, and transferring in domains you already own is free. The calculator’s defaults show 25 slots at $75 a month billed monthly or $60 billed yearly, plus 9 domains at $126 a year.
Add-ons are few: SSL and domain masking at $2 a domain a month, and two consulting sessions for $500. Warmup is a separate product, Warmforge, which lists $10 a slot a month with one free slot. The terms match the rest of the family: plans renew automatically, cancellation must be filed at least 7 days before the term ends and only through live chat, prepaid fees are not refunded, and prices can change on 30 days of notice. There is no free trial, though you can look around the app without buying.
Setup and integrations
Add a domain and SPF, DKIM, DMARC and a tracking domain are written for you; the company says the first domain and mailbox are ready in about five minutes. DNS can be edited in bulk, mailboxes and domains move between workspaces, and there is an API. Mailboxes work with Salesforge natively and with any other sending software over SMTP and IMAP. Pre-warmed domains and mailboxes are sold separately for teams that want to send on day one.
Deliverability and infrastructure
The shared pool is both the price advantage and the risk. Your mailboxes send from IPs shared with other Mailforge customers, which means no single address carries your reputation, and also that you share the pool’s reputation with everyone on it. There is no dedicated IP option here; that is Infraforge. As with every SMTP provider, these mailboxes do not carry the reputation Google and Microsoft lend their own tenants, so warmup and conservative volumes matter: the company’s guidance is 30 emails a day per mailbox, 100 at most, and two or three mailboxes per domain.
Who Mailforge is for, and who should look elsewhere
Mailforge suits small and mid-size teams starting out on SMTP who want the cheapest slots in the Salesforge family and accept a shared IP pool. It is a poor fit for senders who need dedicated IPs, real Google or Microsoft accounts, or fewer than 10 mailboxes. Infraforge is the same company’s dedicated-IP product at $4 a slot on quarterly billing, Inframail sells unlimited SMTP inboxes for a flat fee, and Winnr sells SMTP accounts from $69 for 50 with a monthly refund promise. The inbox provider comparison scores all of them. The sequencer side of the family is reviewed at Salesforge.
Where PureMail is cheaper, and where Mailforge wins
PureMail’s Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 inboxes, set up and connected for you cost $3.30 each for 10, $3.10 for 30 to 100 and $2.90 for 101 or more, billed monthly. On price per mailbox Mailforge is cheaper at every size: $30 against $33 for 10, $90 against $93 for 30, $300 against $310 for 100, level at 200, and $2.50 or less on yearly billing against every PureMail tier. What PureMail sells is a different product: real Google and Microsoft accounts with those providers’ sender reputation, a human team doing the DNS and sequencer connection in about four hours, monthly billing with no slots, and cancellation from the dashboard rather than a chat request a week before renewal. Full details are on the pricing page.
Mailforge wins on price and on self-serve automation: five-minute setup, slots you can reuse, bulk DNS, workspaces, an API, and a family of sibling products to grow into. If you are comfortable on a shared IP pool and want the lowest cost per mailbox in this comparison, it is a sensible place to start. The table below puts the two side by side.

Mailforge FAQ
How much does Mailforge cost?
As of 6 October 2026, mailbox slots cost $3 a month each on monthly billing or $2.50 on yearly billing for the first 100 slots, with a 10-slot minimum, stepping down to $2 or $1.67 past 1,000 slots. Domains are $14 a year each. Ten slots therefore cost $30 a month or $300 a year before domains, and the calculator's default of 25 slots comes to $75 a month or $60 billed yearly.
What is the difference between Mailforge and Infraforge?
Both are SMTP infrastructure from the same company. Mailforge spreads your mailboxes across a shared IP pool, the way Gmail and Outlook do, and the company recommends it for senders who expect a high rate of spam complaints. Infraforge gives you dedicated servers and IPs for senders who follow deliverability practice strictly, at $4 a slot a month on quarterly billing rather than Mailforge's $3 monthly.
What is a mailbox slot on Mailforge?
A slot is the capacity to run one mailbox. You are billed for slots, not for the mailboxes that exist, so buying 10 slots and creating 5 mailboxes still costs 10 slots. In return you can delete and recreate mailboxes inside your slots at no extra charge, which helps when you retire burned domains.
Can I cancel Mailforge, and is there a refund?
Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year. The terms require cancellation at least 7 days before the term ends, and say cancellation requests are handled only through live chat. Prepaid fees are not refunded, and prices can change on 30 days of notice.
Is Mailforge cheaper than PureMail?
Yes, per mailbox. PureMail charges $3.30 per Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 inbox for 10, $3.10 for 30 to 100 and $2.90 for 101 or more, billed monthly. Mailforge's $3 monthly rate is 30 cents under PureMail at 10 and 10 cents under at 30 to 100, level at 200, and its yearly rate of $2.50 undercuts every PureMail tier. The difference is the product: PureMail sells real Google and Microsoft accounts with their reputation, set up for you; Mailforge sells SMTP mailboxes on a shared IP pool.
