What Unipile does well
- One API and one schema for LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Gmail, Outlook, IMAP and calendars, with more than 100 endpoints on every plan.
- Pricing is per connected account with no per-message or per-request fees, and falls from $5.50 to $3.50 an account as the count grows.
- Hosted authentication, real-time webhooks, proxy rotation and quota management are included rather than sold as add-ons.
- A 7-day trial without a card, month-to-month billing and a named French company, Unipile SAS, registered in Roanne.
- An SDK, an MCP server and n8n and Make integrations shorten the build for small teams.
Where it falls short
- It is a developer product: nothing sends until you build the application that uses it, so it is not a tool a sales team opens and uses.
- LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Instagram connections run through user accounts rather than official partner APIs, so the platforms' own rules and limits decide what those accounts may do, and the risk sits with the connected profile.
- The $55 minimum is poor value below 10 accounts, and a SaaS that connects hundreds of customer inboxes pays per account every month.
- The terms set out no refund policy and say nothing specific about cold outreach, only that use must stay lawful.
- X and Messenger are listed as coming soon, so not every channel a product might want is there yet.

What Unipile is
Unipile is a unified messaging API for developers. Instead of integrating LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Gmail, Outlook, IMAP and two calendar providers one at a time, an application integrates Unipile once and gets all of them behind the same schema: list chats and messages, send and reply, fetch profiles, sync history and receive events through webhooks. The company is Unipile SAS, registered in Roanne, France. It belongs in a cold email directory because sales and recruiting products increasingly need their users’ LinkedIn and email inboxes inside the app, and because people searching for it often want to know whether it is an outreach tool. It is not; it is what outreach tools are built on.
How Unipile’s pricing works
Billing is per connected account per month, in dollars or euros, with no fees per message or request. The minimum is $55 a month, which covers up to 10 accounts. From 11 to 50 accounts the rate is $5.50 an account, 51 to 200 is $5.00, 201 to 1,000 is $4.50, 1,001 to 5,000 is $4.00 and 5,001 or more is $3.50. An account is any connected profile or mailbox, whatever the channel, and a Gmail or Outlook connection counts once for email and calendar together. Every plan includes every endpoint, real-time webhooks, hosted authentication, account protection, the SDK, an MCP server and the n8n and Make integrations. There is a 7-day trial without a card, the terms bill at the end of each monthly period, and no refund policy is set out.
Channels, limits and account protection
The messaging side covers LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram, with X and Messenger listed as coming soon; the email side covers Gmail, Outlook and any IMAP server; calendars cover Google and Outlook. The connections to LinkedIn and the messaging apps run through the user’s own account rather than official partner programmes, which is why Unipile bundles proxy rotation and quota management under the name account protection. The platforms’ rules still govern each connected profile, and a product built on Unipile carries that risk on behalf of its users. Email connections behave like any mail client: sending goes out from the connected mailbox and inherits its limits and reputation.
Who Unipile is for, and who should look elsewhere
Unipile suits software teams building a sales or recruiting product that needs LinkedIn, email and messaging inboxes inside their own app. It is a poor fit for anyone looking for a sequencer or an outreach tool to use directly, or for a team without a developer to build on the API. AgentMail is the other API-first product in this directory, an inbox API for AI agents rather than a connector to existing accounts, and the other outbound tools category lists what sits next to the sequencers.
Using Unipile with PureMail
If you are building on Unipile, PureMail’s Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 inboxes connect to your application through the Gmail and Outlook connections or over IMAP, and from there your app can read replies and send. Treat them as you would in any sequencer: warm them for two to three weeks, hold each to a few dozen emails a day, and spread a campaign across several domains, because the API changes nothing about how Google and Microsoft judge a mailbox.

Unipile FAQ
How much does Unipile cost?
As of 9 October 2026, the minimum is $55 a month, which covers up to 10 connected accounts. Beyond that it is $5.50 an account a month for 11 to 50 accounts, $5.00 for 51 to 200, $4.50 for 201 to 1,000, $4.00 for 1,001 to 5,000 and $3.50 for 5,001 or more, with no usage fees. Every plan includes all endpoints, and there is a 7-day free trial without a card.
What is Unipile?
Unipile is a unified API for developers. One integration gives an application access to LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram messaging, Gmail, Outlook and IMAP email, and Google and Outlook calendars, with the same schema across all of them. Products built on it can sync inboxes, send and reply, enrich profiles and receive events through webhooks without integrating each provider separately.
Can I send cold email through Unipile?
Unipile does not send anything by itself; it lets an application send and receive through mailboxes its users connect. Any cold email sent that way goes out from the connected Gmail, Outlook or IMAP mailbox and lives or dies by that mailbox's reputation and provider limits, exactly as it would in a sequencer. The terms require lawful use and say nothing specific about outreach.
Is Unipile's LinkedIn API official?
Unipile connects LinkedIn through the user's own account rather than LinkedIn's partner programme, and markets proxy rotation and quota management, which it calls account protection, to keep connected accounts stable. LinkedIn's own rules on automation still apply to each connected profile, so products built on it carry that risk for their users.
Can Unipile connect PureMail inboxes?
Yes, as mailboxes. PureMail's Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 inboxes connect to a Unipile-based application through the Gmail and Outlook connections or over IMAP, after which the app can read and send from them. The usual cold email rules carry over: warm the inboxes first, keep each to a few dozen emails a day and spread sending across domains.
