What HubSpot Prospecting Agent does well
- Pay for results rather than seats: $1 per lead the agent recommends outreach for, with Sales Hub Free and Starter as the entry point.
- It lives inside the CRM, so account research, contact sourcing, enrichment, drafting and the send all happen where the pipeline already is.
- Buying signals such as funding rounds, leadership changes and website visits decide who gets outreach and when, scored against your ideal customer profile.
- Drafts can be reviewed and edited before sending, with a fully autonomous mode once you trust the output.
- HubSpot publishes model cards and bars third-party AI providers from training on your data, with enterprise-grade security claims a security team can check.
Where it falls short
- The $1 per lead is on top of seats, credits and, on Professional and Enterprise, onboarding fees of $1,500 and $3,500, and credit pack prices are not on the pricing page.
- Emails go out from the mailboxes connected to HubSpot, usually the team's primary Google or Microsoft accounts, which is exactly where cold volume does the most damage.
- No warmup, inbox rotation or separate sending domains; the deliverability basics of cold email are left to you.
- HubSpot subscriptions renew automatically, are non-cancelable for the term and non-refundable except when HubSpot degrades the service or breaches the agreement.
- The 76%, 80% and 26% improvement figures on the page are HubSpot's own, without a stated method.

What HubSpot Prospecting Agent is
HubSpot Prospecting Agent is the AI SDR inside HubSpot’s Smart CRM, part of the Breeze family of agents. It watches buying signals, scores accounts against your ideal customer profile, finds and enriches the right contacts, researches each account and drafts outreach in the rep’s voice, then sends it from the mailbox connected to HubSpot. HubSpot’s page claims 76% more qualified leads, 80% more meetings and a 26% higher win rate for teams using it, figures that are its own. It belongs in this directory because it competes with the sequencers for the same job, with a different idea of where the work should live.
How HubSpot Prospecting Agent’s pricing works
The agent is metered: $1 per lead, charged when it recommends outreach for that lead, and paid with HubSpot Credits. It runs on a Sales Hub subscription. Free covers two users at no cost. Starter costs $7 a seat a month billed yearly or $20 monthly, includes 500 credits a month and, per the pricing page, Agent Hub, the agent builder and the prospecting agent. Professional costs $90 a seat billed yearly or $100 monthly with 3,000 credits and a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee, and Enterprise $150 a seat with 5,000 credits and $3,500 onboarding. Credits beyond the allowance come in packs or pay-as-you-go, with spend limits per feature; pack prices are not shown on the pricing page.
The terms are HubSpot’s standard ones. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term as before, or one year, unless you give notice; payment obligations are non-cancelable and fees non-refundable, with two exceptions, a pro-rated refund if HubSpot materially degrades the service and cannot offer an equivalent, and a refund of unused prepaid fees if you terminate for HubSpot’s uncured breach; price increases arrive with 30 days’ notice before renewal; taxes are extra.
Signals, research and sending
The agent starts from signals, funding rounds, leadership changes and site visits among them, and from the ideal customer profile you define, then scores accounts and picks contacts, enriching them with emails, phone numbers and titles. It researches each account and drafts personalised emails in the rep’s voice, which the rep can review and edit before sending or, once trusted, let go out autonomously. HubSpot’s AI runs on third-party foundation models that are contractually barred from training on your data, documented in published model cards. Everything sends through the Gmail or Microsoft mailboxes connected to HubSpot.
What that means for cold email
That last point is the catch. Connected HubSpot inboxes are usually the team’s primary accounts on the primary domain, and the agent adds no warmup, no rotation across inboxes and no separate sending domains. For warm, signal-driven accounts at a few emails a day per rep, that is fine and the research is the value. For a cold list of a thousand contacts it is the wrong tool: the volume lands on the domain you can least afford to burn.
Who HubSpot Prospecting Agent is for, and who should look elsewhere
HubSpot Prospecting Agent suits sales teams already on HubSpot that want AI-driven prospecting without a second tool and are happy to pay per recommended lead. It is a poor fit for cold email at scale, or for anyone not on HubSpot. Instantly, Smartlead and Salesforge are the sequencers built for that job, with inbox rotation and warmup included, and the AI SDR category lists the agents as they are reviewed. Artisan’s Ava is the fully autonomous AI BDR with a free plan and startup plans from $250 a month billed annually, and Unify publishes seat prices from $20 a month with managed mailboxes on its Business plan. Reevo is a full AI-native CRM alternative with sequences, dialer and enrichment, quoted by sales. Lyzr is the enterprise agent platform with Jazon for sales, quoted by sales.
Using HubSpot Prospecting Agent with PureMail
Connect PureMail’s Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 inboxes to HubSpot as the sending accounts for the agent’s outreach, so its emails leave from warmed inboxes on separate domains rather than from the team’s primary accounts. Keep each inbox to a few dozen emails a day, and route any cold list through a sequencer with rotation instead of the agent.

HubSpot Prospecting Agent FAQ
How much does HubSpot's prospecting agent cost?
As of 12 October 2026, the agent costs $1 per lead, charged when it recommends outreach for that lead. It runs on Sales Hub, which is free for two users, $7 a seat a month billed yearly or $20 monthly on Starter with 500 credits, $90 or $100 on Professional with 3,000 credits and $1,500 onboarding, and $150 on Enterprise with 5,000 credits and $3,500 onboarding.
What does the HubSpot prospecting agent do?
It monitors buying signals such as funding rounds, leadership changes and website visits, scores accounts against your ideal customer profile, sources and enriches the right contacts with emails, phone numbers and titles, researches each account and drafts outreach in the rep's voice. Reps can review and edit each draft before it sends, or switch the agent to a fully autonomous mode.
Which HubSpot plan includes the prospecting agent?
The Sales Hub pricing page lists the prospecting agent, Agent Hub and the agent builder as available from the Starter tier, which costs $7 a seat a month billed yearly or $20 monthly and includes 500 HubSpot Credits. Professional and Enterprise include 3,000 and 5,000 credits. The $1 per recommended lead is charged in credits, which can also be bought in packs or pay-as-you-go.
Can I cancel a HubSpot subscription?
Not mid-term. HubSpot's terms make payment obligations non-cancelable and fees non-refundable, with subscriptions renewing for the previous term or one year unless you give notice. Two exceptions: a pro-rated refund if HubSpot materially degrades the service, and a refund of unused prepaid fees if you terminate for HubSpot's uncured breach. Price rises come with 30 days' notice.
Is the HubSpot prospecting agent good for cold email?
It is good at deciding who to contact and what to say, and weak at the sending side. Emails leave through the mailboxes connected to HubSpot, with no warmup, no inbox rotation and no separate sending domains, so a genuine cold campaign from it risks the team's primary accounts. Use it on warm, signal-driven accounts at low volume, and run cold lists through a sequencer with dedicated inboxes.
