- Price
- From $250 per month for Intern billed annually (10,000 credits a month); Employee $600 for 25,000; free plan with 300 credits; Team, Scale and Enterprise quoted
- Pricing model
- Two tabs on one pricing page. The Startups tab publishes self-serve plans billed annually with credits paid upfront, and a toggle showing annual as 10% cheaper than monthly: Free costs nothing, needs no card and gives 300 credits a month to explore the platform, look up leads and build lists; Intern costs $250 a month for 10,000 credits, roughly 500 leads contacted a month, with HubSpot sync, autonomous campaigns and replies, deliverability monitoring, Slack and a human power dialer at $67 a seat a month; Employee, the recommended plan, costs $600 a month for 25,000 credits, roughly 1,250 leads contacted, adding advanced campaign types, webhooks as a data source and priority support. Credits are spent per action: 2 for an email enrichment, 10 for a phone number, about 20 for an end-to-end campaign per person contacted, 4 for website-visitor identification and 2 for an autonomous reply. The Businesses and Enterprises tab lists Team, for a first serious outbound motion at roughly 2,500 leads contacted a month, Scale, the most popular, at roughly 6,000, and Enterprise, each marked pricing scoped on your plan with a talk-to-sales button; those plans include the full platform, 250 million-plus verified B2B contacts, Salesforce and HubSpot sync, onboarding and an AI dialer per seat, with Scale adding a dedicated success manager and Enterprise a forward-deployed strategist and security controls. Monthly-billed prices sit behind a toggle we did not capture; the page says annual saves 10%.

What Artisan (Ava) does well
- One agent covers the whole outbound loop: list building from 250 million-plus contacts, intent signals such as hiring and funding, ghostwritten sequences, reply handling and meeting booking.
- Guardrails for cautious teams: approve before sending, lock tone and calls to action, set banned phrases and auto-reply thresholds, then loosen them as trust builds.
- Humans in the loop on every plan: a customer success manager in a shared Slack channel, with an ex-McKinsey strategist on Enterprise.
- Ava sends in your reps' names from your own domains and syncs both ways with Salesforce and HubSpot, so the CRM stays the system of record.
- SOC 2 Type II, SSO and SAML, audit logs and a published trust centre.
Where it falls short
- No public prices at all; three plans sized by leads contacted, each 'scoped on your plan', so budgeting needs a sales call.
- Contracts renew automatically unless cancelled 30 days before the term ends, fees can rise on 45 days' notice, and nothing is refundable, including unused credits.
- The FAQ invites you to start sending from your primary mailbox on day one, which is the opposite of cold email hygiene.
- Warmup, rotation and domain supply are described only as 'sized to your motion'; the specifics are not published.
- Monthly-billed prices sit behind a toggle we did not capture; the page only says annual saves 10%.

What Artisan (Ava) is
Artisan (Ava) is the AI BDR sold by Artisan AI Inc.: Artisan is the company and Ava the agent, which finds leads, writes and sends outreach, handles the replies and books meetings on your reps’ calendars. Artisan AI Inc. says Ava is deployed across thousands of reps at enterprise revenue teams, a figure of its own, and a second agent, Artie, is marked new on the site. For cold email it is the most complete of the agents reviewed here, and the one with the least public information about what it costs.
Artisan pricing explained
The pricing page has two tabs. Startups, billed annually with credits paid upfront and a toggle showing annual as 10% cheaper: Free at $0 with no card and 300 credits a month for lead lookup and list building; Intern at $250 a month for 10,000 credits, about 500 leads contacted, with HubSpot sync, autonomous campaigns and replies, deliverability monitoring, Slack and a $67-a-seat human dialer; Employee, recommended, at $600 a month for 25,000 credits, about 1,250 leads, with advanced campaign types, webhooks and priority support. Credits cost 2 per email enrichment, 10 per phone number, about 20 per person taken through a campaign, 4 per website visitor identified and 2 per autonomous reply. Businesses and Enterprises: Team, “for teams running their first serious outbound motion”, at roughly 2,500 leads contacted a month; Scale, the most popular, at roughly 6,000; Enterprise custom, all “pricing scoped on your plan” with a talk-to-sales button. Those plans include every campaign type, autonomous replies and meeting booking, 250 million-plus verified B2B contacts, Salesforce and HubSpot sync, customer success support and onboarding, with an AI dialer per seat; Scale adds a dedicated success manager, CRM setup and priority support, Enterprise a forward-deployed strategist, a full onboarding build-out, advanced security controls and audit logs.
The terms of use are enterprise terms. Order forms renew automatically for successive terms of the same length unless either side gives 30 days’ notice; fees can rise for a renewal on 45 days’ notice; purchases are non-refundable and non-cancellable for convenience except as an order form allows, with no refunds for unused credits; the agreement is governed by California law with AAA arbitration in San Francisco.
What Ava does, and the guardrails
Ava starts from your ideal customer profile and searches 250 million-plus contacts across 200-plus countries, enriching each with intent signals such as hiring and funding. It ghostwrites sequences from dozens of enrichment sources with no templates, tests subject lines and send times, reads every reply, handles objections and books meetings, and queues leads to the dialer for reps to call. It is autonomous by default, but you can require approval before sending, lock tone and calls to action, set banned phrases and an auto-reply threshold. Sends go out in your reps’ names from your own domains, and Salesforce and HubSpot sync both ways.
What that means for cold email
Two lines on the site deserve attention. The pricing page says every plan comes with sending infrastructure sized to your motion, which is reassuring but unspecific: nothing is published about warmup, rotation or how domains are supplied. The product FAQ says you can start sending from your primary mailbox on day one, which is exactly what a cold email operator should not do. Treat Ava as the brain and bring your own dedicated inboxes on separate domains as the hands.
Who Artisan is for, and who should look elsewhere
Artisan suits revenue teams with budget for an enterprise AI BDR that want the research, writing and reply handling done for them, with a named success manager. It is a poor fit for small teams and founders who need a price before a call. The HubSpot Prospecting Agent is the metered alternative at $1 a recommended lead, Unify publishes seat prices from $20, and Instantly and Smartlead are the sequencers for teams that would rather write the emails themselves. The AI SDR category lists the agents as they are reviewed. B2B Rocket is the AI SDR that publishes its prices, $799 to $1,799 a month billed quarterly with mailboxes from $3, on a strict no-refund basis. AiSDR is the pay-as-you-go agent at $1.50 per person prospected, with warmed-up mailboxes as a $33 add-on. Lyzr is the enterprise agent platform behind Jazon, from $100,000 a year in production. Relevance AI is the agent-building platform from $19 a month, where the BDR agent is arranged through sales rather than sold at a listed price.
Using Artisan with PureMail
Ava sends from your own domains, so the inboxes behind them decide whether the mail lands. Put PureMail’s Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 inboxes on dedicated outreach domains, connect those rather than the primary mailbox, keep each to a modest daily volume, and ask Artisan on the demo how its sending infrastructure spreads a plan’s volume across them.

Artisan (Ava) FAQ
How much does Artisan's Ava cost?
As of 22 October 2026, the Startups tab lists a Free plan at $0 with 300 credits a month and no card, Intern at $250 a month billed annually for 10,000 credits (about 500 leads contacted) and Employee at $600 a month for 25,000 credits (about 1,250 leads), with annual billing 10% cheaper than monthly. The Businesses and Enterprises tab lists Team, Scale and Enterprise plans quoted by sales.
What does Ava actually do?
Ava searches more than 250 million verified B2B contacts, enriches them with intent signals such as hiring and funding, writes personalised multi-channel sequences without templates, tests subject lines and send times, reads replies, handles objections and books meetings on your reps' calendars. It runs autonomously by default, with optional approvals at any stage, and sends in your reps' names from your own domains.
Is there a free trial of Artisan?
Yes, on the Startups tab: the Free plan costs nothing, needs no card and gives 300 credits a month, and Intern and Employee each carry a Start free trial button, length not stated. The enterprise plans are scoped on a 30-minute demo instead. Credits are paid upfront on annual billing, so test the free plan properly before committing to a year.
Can I cancel an Artisan contract?
Not for convenience, unless your order form says so. The terms make purchases non-refundable and non-cancellable, with no refunds for unused credits; terms renew automatically for the same length unless either party gives 30 days' written notice, and fees can change for a renewal on 45 days' notice. Disputes go to AAA arbitration in San Francisco under California law.
How does Artisan fit with PureMail?
Ava sends from your own sending domains, so the inboxes behind those domains decide whether the mail lands. Give it PureMail's Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 inboxes on dedicated outreach domains rather than the primary mailbox the FAQ suggests, keep each inbox to a modest daily volume, and let the agent's volume be spread across them.
